Jennifer Edwards is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Tennessee (license # 1117), and a Certified Sex Therapist from the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. She received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and completed the University of Michigan’s Sex Therapy & Sexuality Education Certification program.
Jennifer has been practicing for over 10 years and has extensive training in trauma, including Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) with Deborah Kennard of the Center for Personal Transformation, and in sex therapy. Jennifer treats sexual concerns surrounding low sexual desire, performance anxiety, out of control sexual behavior (sex addiction), erectile dysfunction, pre-mature ejaculation, and intimacy and pain concerns. Jennifer approaches therapy through a highly relational, client-centered lens, which stems from her systemic and strength-based training while combining evidence-based practices. Jennifer’s pronouns are she/ her.
“The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of those depths.” Elisabeth Kubler-Ross: It takes courage and strength to start the journey of self-discovery and healing, and I would be honored to be a part of your journey- and hope to laugh along the way.
Jennifer is a Nashville native and a loyal Lakers fan. She’s dedicated to her own personal work and enjoys Pilates and weekly flower purchases for her self-care. While away at work, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends- a good laugh, and spending time outdoors when Nashville weather cooperates.
